Cancer Awareness Morning

ben-ashworth-former-pupilHundreds of our pupils raised money for cancer-fighting charities today by donating to
wear non-uniform and by bringing in cakes to sell to their fellow pupils.  Staff and pupils also played bingo and some pupils sang and played instruments for the event.  Some pupils also spoke movingly of their experiences of cancer and its effects in their families.  A former pupil at Brownedge who has bowel cancer, Ben Ashworth, visited us to support the event, which has so far raised more than £1200 for cancer charity.
