Lancashire Book of the Year 2019

Year 9 students are keenly reading as judges of this competition for the second year running. Every student has been invited to take part in judging who should win this prestigious prize. An early favourite with the judges is Cold Bath Street, by AJ Hartley, an old Prestonian who has written about the famous local ghost story of the Bannister Doll.

Another early front runner is Outwalkers by Fiona Shaw. Why not add a book or two to your Christmas present list? Any Year 9 student who would like to join the judging team should go and see Mrs Goldson to express an interest. We hope to add many more judges to our panel.
