Lancashire Book of the Year

In our school we have all tried something new this term. In our English class, (9ES1) we decided to help other schools to judge the Lancashire Book of Year. After we entered, about 30 new YA (young adult) fiction books were sent over for us to read. On Monday 4th February, all the schools that entered met up and spoke for three hours about our favourite books. At the start of the meeting, we did icebreakers, and told everyone which fictional character we would like to be. When we got back to school, we were given a task to create a shortlist of five of our favourite entries to win the competition.
