BROWNEDGE ST MARY'S MARKS HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY 2023
Holocaust Memorial Day - an annual day of remembrance where we think of the millions of Jews and other minorities killed under Nazi persecution - was commemorated this term at Brownedge. Our History Leaders delivered assemblies to our pupils to raise awareness of this year's theme of 'ordinary people'. The Brownedge family joined thousands across the country in coming together to learn more about the past in order to create a safer future for all.
Two of our pupils also attended the South Ribble memorial service. Gracie and Becca led a reading of the poem 'We Will Remember Them', and were congratulated by the mayor on their participation.
