A packed week of Careers activities continued yesterday, as a group of Year 10 pupils visited the University of Lancashire!
Our pupils listened to a keynote address from celebrated poet Lemn Sissay OBE, whose talk 'A Lancashire Story - Pathways of Possibility' charted his journey from the care homes of Lancashire to internationally renowned poet. Lemn spoke about the importance of accessibility to education for all, and the merits of a university degree.
After the talk, pupils participated in a workshop about university life, where they got to grips with the different pathways available via Higher Education, while working alongside current university students.
Thank you to the University of Lancashire and Lemn for an inspiring day.
