On Tuesday, our Year 7 football team took on All Hallows in their first game of the season. Our Year 7s have been training hard for weeks after school and were excited for the challenge.

As soon as the first whistle blew, our team flew out of the blocks and impressed from the offset. After a period on top, we found ourselves behind in the game. Immediately after conceding, an equaliser came from Ollie F.

Later in the game, a spectacular goal into the top corner from Zach A on his supposed 'weaker' left foot, and a striker's finish into the bottom corner from Lucas A brought the game to 3-3 before All Hallows pounced to lead 4-3. With 90 seconds left on the clock, Zach won a free kick which he unleashed into the top right corner from a tight angle to tie the game at 4-4 moments before the final whistle.

The team represented Brownedge superbly through their commendable behaviour and effort throughout the game. Every student involved played incredibly well and really impressed all of the spectators with their continued effort and resilience to battle for a well-earned draw.

An excellent performance from the team against tough opposition and hopefully a sign of things to come from our Year 7 team.
